We required an upgrade from our existing systems;  Therefore we have been installing both One-Journey and Premier Spa into the hotel and wanted to appoint a consultant to act as Project Manager/Consultant. 

Matthew Ward, from Hotelios Consulting, came highly recommended and he has been incredible to work with from the outset.

Matthew is so reliable, he understands hospitality systems inside and out and challenges the guest journey to ensure they have the best experience and can book things in the simplest way.  He is also mindful of the amount of work that needs to go on behind the scenes to make the system work efficiently and effectively for an individual property and his vast experience in operations means that he has great vision.  We are an independent hotel which often needs a different approach to that of a corporate model.

Matthew challenges actions that are not right in such a professional way that he gets buy in from the providers, to make necessary changes time and again.  He has communicated daily with my team, which keeps everybody in the loop and has delivered the task in hand extremely efficiently and with great attention to detail.  I would highly recommend him as he portrays a real love all things hospitality.

I originally worked with Matthew during the migration of property management systems across 11 hotels. Subsequently, Matthew has remained a valuable go-to contact who I often rely upon for industry advice.

Matthew is an effective project manager with an excellent eye for detail. He has a particular skill of taking a complicated, and sometimes ambiguous brief and turning it into a clear project plan with clearly defined outcomes.

He fully immerses himself in the project and works extremely well with all stakeholders throughout.

When it comes to the financial aspect of project management, Matthew offers regular updates on spend vs budget .  Any discussions regarding deviation to the project plan are always followed up with costings and final projections.

Revenue management is the other main area where we have worked with Matthew. His industry experience and knowledge on managing distribution channels is second to none. He has a great understanding of protecting and improving yield and "thinking outside of the box" to achieve this.
